Should you ever consider giving an arm signal?

14. Arm signals can be very useful to reinforce a signal given by an indicator, particularly where it may not be obvious to other motorists where you are going to make a turn e.g. into a driveway, or in busy traffic conditions where you wish to change lanes.

Know the arm signals set out in the Highway Code and avoid giving incorrect or misleading signals.

Poor use or lack of clear signals causes much frustration to other road users.
